warp fatigue

I’m bored with this warp.

I showed you this picture as part of New Year’s looms, and I haven’t even bothered to take another one since progression has been so slight. It’s taken me the best part of a month to weave another 10″ or so of samples. While my head knows that this is not a wholly unattractive warp, I have to say that my heart is not in it. I have woven samples with these yarns in these colours too many times already. The truth is I am just bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.

So I need to take action if I am going to get any deflected double weave done for the CWDW study group. I don’t want to use the table loom for it; I want to make a skeleton tie-up on the Delta and play with it that way instead. Right now I am thinking that a short one-scarf warp is what I need (a scarf is a sample, as we know) and why not play to my current enthusiasm for grey? With some simple stripes in really tooty frootie colours?

Actually, I am horrified to see — on googling tooty frooties — that they don’t have green ones any more. What is the world coming to? And please don’t tell me there were never green tooty frooties: I remember green ones and do not wish to be disabused. Thank you.

I didn’t know that about tooty frooties! I’m almost positive they used to have green ones. The things we learn from reading blogs, LOL. Actually I love the weaving on your table loom. I can’t imagine being bored with it! And this from someone who doesn’t even like orange!
