colour play

posted in: Blog | 2

Having finished my wavy socks, I dug out my colouring books again so that I would have an easy something to play with. And then my thoughts turned towards another weaving colour study so I have selected a few colours…

…though I am not sure whether they are well represented in the photo. I tried again on white…

…and am still not satisfied, but it will have to do for now. In any case, the play so far actually involves these coloured foam triangles rather than yarn. It isn’t important that they aren’t a perfect match for the yarn colours. The main thing is to enjoy some design exercises and explore possibilities.

I’m curious about the foam triangles. Does it relate to the structure you’re thinking of?

Not really. I partly had my P2P2 triangles in mind but mainly they are just an easy shape to make and play with!
