1,552 ends of grey and blue silk. Each end is two strands of 60/2 silk: they’ll be set at 70 epi for twill double cloth.

Better start threading.

That looks dreamy Cally! Makes my fingers itch for some doubleweave! And for some silk. Is it blue the light or the dark – hard to tell on my monitor?

There’s a bit of blue in both, Lisa. As I’m using two strands at a time, sometimes there is one blue and one grey and sometimes two grey. It took me ages to settle on the exact combination so I hope I am going to like it…!

It looks great. So many ends and so neat, so satisfying to look at!

I agree, Tricia. I love this bit, when it is all neatly wound on the beam and ready to thread. Yarn heaven.

Callie look at that silk drape, heavenly. Curious to see what weaving draft you use with this wonderful warp.

Cally, the colours look lovely. Happy threading with the 1552 ends 🙂
It will be worth it once done and weaving 😉
