Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

My website uses three kinds of cookies: WordPress, Woocommerce and Cookie Notice.

WordPress cookies

There are three WordPress cookies. They are set when you make a comment on my blog and their purpose is to save you from having to keep re-entering your personal details. These cookies are set to expire a little under one year from the time they’re set, but if you want to go and delete them using your browser’s privacy options you can do so at any time. They are:

  • comment_author_
  • comment_author_email_
  • comment_author_url_

Woocommerce cookies

There are three of these too. They are used by my online shop, and will be set when you place something into your shopping cart to enable your booking to proceed. They expire when your session has ended and you close your browser.

  • woocommerce_cart_
  • woocommerce_items_in_cart
  • wp_woocommerce_session_

Cookie Notice

In this Kafka-esque world, the Cookie Notice Acceptance cookie records that you have accepted the need for cookies!
